the brief
This project was a personal endeavor in which I challenged myself to design a series of three A4 posters. The overall composition was intended to function as a cohesive visual identity, while still being made up of multiple individual illustrations. The theme of the first series focused on life in a big city, with subtle references to the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise. In the second iteration of the same concept, I shifted the theme to architecture combined with elements of life from the deep sea.
the process
Each poster began with an initial sketch that I refined until I was satisfied with the composition. I then traced each sketch to create a clean, polished version.
Once all the posters in the series were complete, I developed a cohesive color concept.
the conclusion
This project allowed me to push my illustration and composition skills while working in a consistent series format. Seeing the three posters come together as a cohesive set was especially rewarding.
